Ireland, Day 1 - River Shannon

The castle in Athlone was strategically built overlooking the River Shannon to repel invaders. The view today toward the "North" and then toward the "South" or the sea.

It is only our first full day in Ireland and Phil is misbehaving. He had to be locked up!

If you would like a chuckle, be sure and ask Paula or Theresa how many times we crossed the River Shannon.
