Just my lady and me!

What's a trip to Ireland without a few pictures of St. Patrick's Cathedral? After all, he made Ireland famous in the U.S., right?

Statue of the legendary Molly Malone. We had learned a song about her the night before at the show, so I wanted to get a picture. The little girl had just jumped down from getting her picture taken. What surprised Paula and I was the reason for the discoloration on certain parts of the statue. This little girl posed with her hand on the right side. I'm thinking, "Really? A young girl and her parents are ok with that?" It seems many have done the same, but not the two of us!

The legend says that Molly had seventeen children and no husband. During the day she pushed her cart through the streets selling cockles and mussels, as her parents before her had done. At night she sold something else. There seems to be disagreement over whether the story is truth or fiction.

After walking a bit, we stopped here for some Bailey's Coffee, Bailey's Cheesecake, and Apple Crumble. The native Irish may not be big on dessert, but the tourists are!

Those ladies to the right are from Germany. They were a hoot! When served their dessert, the lady in black says, "I know apple crumble. This is not apple crumble!"

Some Irish pub decor.
